Common questions

Before you order.

Everything regulars ask us when they're stocking up for the first time.

How long does a tonne bag last?

For a typical wood burner used most evenings through the colder months, expect four to six weeks. We're happy to talk you through the right size for your setup on the phone.

Where do the logs actually come from?

All of our timber comes from locally managed woodland, the more local the better, both for haulage costs to our yard and for the environmental impact. Much of our recent timber is cut down due to the spread of ash dieback disease. We also source from local estates where thinning is used to help with woodland health and biodiversity.

What if I'm not in when you deliver?

No problem. We always confirm a delivery window the day before. If you tell us where to leave the logs (covered if possible), we'll set them down and send a photo. Pay by bank transfer afterwards.

Can I see the wood before I commit?

Yes, by arrangement. Give us a call and we'll set up a time for you to come and see the wood, or arrange a pickup from the yard. You're welcome to grab a netted log net to trial while you're there.

Do you deliver outside West Sussex?

We cover most of the surrounding area. East Sussex, parts of Surrey and Hampshire are usually fine. Tell us your postcode and we'll quote.
